And so the path that Fred Korematsu had started upon when he decided to take his case to court in 1942 was ended. Following the case in '88, Mr. Korematsu became an activist, continuing to stand up for the rights of others until the end of his life. The most important thing that we can learn from Mr. Korematsu's life is that when something is wrong, we should stand up to it, just as he did. He stood up for himself, and changed things, and that's what we all should aim to do.
